Senior Partner, Bretton G. Sciaroni, was quoted in a public policy article entitled “Cambodia: From Battlefield to Global Marketplace” published in the recent issue of Knowledge@Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States.  The piece highlights the transition of modern era Cambodia from the late 1970s to the vibrant economic environment it is today as “one of the most open economies in Asia, where starting a business is relatively easy and foreign-owned firms can operate without a local partner.”  It acknowledges that Mr. Sciaroni has been in Cambodia since the transformation took place.  He remarks that “they’ve come a long way in a short period of time”.  And further states that “the Cambodian  government recognized the need from the beginning to create a legal and regulatory framework to encourage free enterprise and attract foreigners and foreign investment.”
